Stockton Ports News Release
STOCKTON, Calif.- The California League has announced their selections for the league's Postseason All-Star roster, which includes former Ports outfielder James Harris.
Prior to his promotion to Double-A Midland on August 17th, Harris led the Ports with a solid .303 batting average, in addition to acquiring a team-high of 81 runs and 21 stolen bases in his 119 games in Stockton.
Since his promotion to Double-A, Harris has demonstrated his skills at the plate, batting .444 with one double and two RBI in his first three games.
Harris joined the ports in April after signing with the A's as a free agent. The Bay Area native was also selected to represent the Ports at this year's Mid-Season All-Star Game back in June.
"The Ports would like to congratulate James on his latest accomplishment this season," said General Manager Bryan Meadows. "We wish him the best as he moves up the A's organization."
The Ports will close out this season in a seven-game homestand starting on Tuesday, August 30th. For more information or for tickets, please contact the Ports front office at 209-644-1900, visit stocktonports.com, or stop by the Box Office weekdays from 9am-5pm.
