HarbourCats Complete Road Sweep of Kitsap

Victoria HabourCats News Release
The Victoria HarbourCats have a seven-game winning streak in their pocket -- but the tough part, as always, lies ahead.
The HarbourCats completed a two-series, six-game thrashing of the Kitsap BlueJackets on Sunday with an easy 12-1 victory, sending Kitsap to its 11th-straight defeat. Attendance was announced at 510.
The HarbourCats -- who won in Cowlitz last Sunday, then swept a home series and road series with the BlueJackets -- stay on the road now for a three-game set with the expansion Yakima Valley Pippins (14-10, and on a two-game losing streak), that starts Monday in the Central Washington city. The HarbourCats return to Sports Traders Diamond on Thursday for WORLD RECORD PITCH DAY, with the Medford Rogues in Victoria. The HarbourCats lead the WCL in attendance despite not having a weekend home date yet.
The HarbourCats are 12-12, back at the .500 mark for the first time since the throes of a nine-game losing streak, and sit 6.5 games back of Bellingham for first in the West Division. Kitsap is 8-15 -- and not long ago, the BlueJackets were 8-4. Bellingham has won 10 in a row.
Logan Lombana was the winning pitcher on Sunday, going seven innings of seven-hit ball, surrendering just one unearned run and dropping his ERA to 2.48.
The HarbourCats juggled the lineup and Wyler Smith, batting leadoff, was 3-3 with three runs. In the six games with Kitsap, the HarbourCats outscored the BlueJackets 63-13
The HarbourCats are unsure of their starting pitching rotation for the upcoming series. Head Coach Bob Miller has completed his four-game suspension for making contact with an umpire in the June 29 game at Cowlitz.
