HarbourCats Announce Spinnakers as Official Beer Partner

(Victoria, BC - March 19, 2013) General Manager Holly Jones is pleased to announce that Spinnakers Brewpub will be the "Official Beer of the HarbourCats" for the inaugural 2013 season. The HarbourCats are thrilled to partner and grow with one of the most successful and historic craft brewery brands in Victoria. The partnership will showcase selected Spinnakers beers for all 28 home games at Royal Athletic Park.

A significant highlight of the new deal will be the Spinnaker's Winning Wednesdays themed nights. For three Wednesday night home games, after the Season Opener, all beer will be one dollar off for the entire night. The Spinnaker's Winning Wednesdays games will be June 12, July 10, and July 31. This promotional pricing will make an evening of HarbourCats baseball even more affordable for Victorians.

HarbourCats General Manager Holly Jones said, "I am thrilled about the new partnership. Working with Spinnakers gives the HarbourCats an opportunity to grow alongside one of Victoria's most successful businesses. We are also pleased to offer some of the most affordable event beer pricing in Victoria."

Spinnakers Owner Paul Hadfield said, "I am excited to offer HarbourCats fans one of the first chances to enjoy Spinnakers beer outside of the brewpub. Beer and baseball are the perfect pairing for summertime fun."

In addition to official beer partnership designation and the three Winning Wednesdays promotions, the partnership also provides Spinnakers with signage in the park and significant inclusion in the team's marketing materials. The HarbourCats will be featured at various Spinnakers product touch points and will engage in upcoming co-promotional initiatives.
