LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Rookie Jack Hannah tallied a career-high nine points on six goals and three assists as the Las Vegas Desert Dogs defeated the defending NLL Champion Colorado Mammoth 13-8 Saturday night.

The Desert Dogs (2-5) never trailed in the game at Michelob ULTRA Arena, as goalie Landon Kells turned in his best game as a pro with 41 saves and a season-low eight goals allowed. Zack Greer (2G, 4A) and John Phillips (1G, 4A) helped pace the Dogs' offense to their second straight win at home.

With the game tied at three in the second quarter, Las Vegas took command scoring three straight goals from Connor Kirst, Greer and Hannah. A dominant third quarter kept the Dogs in the driver's seat, as the hosts outscored Colorado 4-2 to take a 10-5 lead into the fourth quarter.

The Mammoth netted a pair of early goals in the final quarter, but the Desert Dogs shut the door with three of the game's final four scores to lock up the victory.

Vegas will enter a brief hiatus with a bye next week before returning to the floor on Saturday, February 18 to face the Albany Firewolves on the road. Faceoff at MVP Arena is slated for 4 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on MyLVTV and ESPN+.
