Hammrerheads get first win

March 22, 2005 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Corpus Christi Hammerheads News Release

Corpus Christi, TX - It was a hard fought battle in the Shark Tank on Monday night as the Hammerheads tangled with the Lone Stars. The Lone Stars put up a valiant effort, but the Hammerheads' defense and power rushing attack would prove to be too much for the Lone Stars. Rushing touchdowns by QBs Chris Harrington and Terrance Bennett displayed that opposing defenses will have to watch out for two duel force Quarter Backs this year. The Hammerheads beat the Lone Stars in fine fashion on Monday night, showing promise for a team that will continue to improve as the year goes on. Eddie Miller returned a kick-off for a touchdown, adding flash to a Special Teams Corps that is poised to be a huge force this year for the Hammerheads.

Look for great things from the Hammerheads all year long, and don't miss the next home game on Sunday April 3 at 5:05 PM, against the San Angelo Stampede at the American Bank Center.
