
Hammerheads rally to beat Palm Beach

Jupiter Hammerheads News Release
JUPITER, FL- The Jupiter Hammerheads scored four runs in the sixth inning to overcome a 2-0 deficit to beat Palm Beach 4-2. Jupiter was held hitless for the first five innings, but Brian Schultz singled with the bases loaded to get the Hammerheads on the board. Mike Stanton hit a two RBI double in the next at bat, and Hunter Mense added an RBI single to cap off the big inning.
Elih Villanueva pitched a strong game to win his second consecutive decision. The right-hander pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs on seven hits and struck out four. Closer A.J. Battisto struck out the side in the ninth to record his second save of the season.
Scott Gorgen pitched five hitless innings for the Palm Beach Cardinals. He was relieved by Mark Diapoules in the sixth inning due to pitch count.
The teams will continue the series tomorrow at 6:05 PM at Roger Dean Stadium. Kyle Winters will start for the Hammerheads.
