
Hammerheads Fall to Yankees

Jupiter Hammerheads News Release
JUPITER, FL- The Tampa Yankees (22-29) beat the Jupiter Hammerheads (26-25) by a score of 9-3 tonight at Roger Dean Stadium. Tampa was led by starter Sergio Mitre who pitched five 2/3 solid innings. Mitre, who is with Tampa on a Major League rehab assignment, allowed only one run on three hits and struck out six.
The Yankees scored four runs in the first off of starter Jeff Allison (3-4). Catcher Austin Romine added a two run homer in the second to seal the deal for Tampa. It was Romine's sixth of the season. Tampa compiled 14 hits on the evening, led by second baseman Damon Sublett who went three for three with a double and two singles. Jupiter will take on Tampa tomorrow in game three of this four-game series. 2009 Florida State League Mid-Season All-Star Alex Sanabia will start for the Hammerheads. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
