
Hamilton Recalls David Urquhart from Wheeling

HAMILTON, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that defenceman David Urquhart has been recalled from the Wheeling Nailers of the East Coast Hockey League to the Bulldogs.
Urquhart, 26, has appeared in 17 games with Wheeling this season registering six points (one goal, five assists) and 15 penalty minutes. The native of Thorold, Ontario played in 49 regular season games with the Hartford Wolf Pack last season recording four assists and 34 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 190-pound defenceman also played in 13 regular season games with the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL in 2009-2010, recording 10 points (two goals, eight assists) and 21 penalty minutes as well as seven post-season games with the Checkers earning two assists and 12 penalty minutes. Urquhart has played a total of 107 AHL games, all with the Wolf Pack, registering 18 points (six goals, 12 assists) and 70 penalty minutes.
The Bulldogs will host the Peoria Rivermen on Friday, December 3rd at 7:00 p.m. at Copps Coliseum before welcoming the Chicago Wolves to Copps Coliseum on Saturday, December 4th for a 4:00 p.m. game. Saturday's game is the annual 'Toy Toss Game' where fans in attendance are encouraged to bring a stuffed toy to the game to throw onto the ice following Hamilton's first goal. All toys will be donated to local charities in the Hamilton area. All regular season Hamilton Bulldogs broadcasts on AM 820 CHAM will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
