Hamilton Bulldogs News Release


After finishing week seven of the American Hockey League's 2012-2013 regular season with a 1-2-0-0 record, bringing their record to 6-8-1-1, the Hamilton Bulldogs will play two games in week eight. The Bulldogs will travel west to Abbotsford, British Columbia to battle the Heat (AHL Affiliate of the Calgary Flames) on Friday, November 30th at 10:00 pm EST at Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre. The 'Dogs will remain in Abbotsford to face the Heat the very next night on Saturday, December 1st at 10:00 pm EST.

The Hamilton Bulldogs lost the first of back-to-back games against the St. John's IceCaps by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday, November 20th. IceCaps goaltender Eddie Pasquale stopped 45 of a Bulldogs season-high 46 shots for the victory, including a 'Dogs season-high 19 shots in the third period. Forward Brendan Gallagher scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season which was also his team-leading third power-play goal.

The Bulldogs edged the IceCaps 2-1 in the second of back-to-back games at Mile One Centre on Wednesday, November 21st. Bulldogs goaltender Cedrick Desjardins, who was making his second start of the 2012-2013 season, stopped 29 of 30 shots for his second win of the year. Winger Mike Blunden scored his third goal of the season while winger Steve Quailer added the game-winner which was his second goal of the season.

The Lake Erie Monsters defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-1 at Copps Coliseum on Sunday, November 25th. Monsters goaltender Sami Aittokallio stopped 42 of 43 shots, including a Bulldogs season-high 20 in the second period. Forwards Bill Thomas and Mark Olver each had a goal and an assist for the Monsters. Winger Aaron Palushaj scored his sixth goal of the season, which tied him for the team-lead with forward Brendan Gallagher.
