Hamilton Bulldogs News Release


This week the Hamilton Bulldogs are scheduled to play three games this week, one on the road and two at home. On Tuesday, October 23rd at 7:35 p.m. the team will take to the ice at First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York to battle the Rochester Americans (AHL Affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres). On Friday, October 26th at 7:30 p.m. the Bulldogs will return to Copps Coliseum in Hamilton for their third game in the span of eight days against the Toronto Marlies (AHL Affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs). The 'Dogs will wrap-up week three of the regular season on Sunday, October 28th at 5:00 p.m. when they'll play host to the Abbotsford Heat (AHL Affiliate of the Calgary Flames).

The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Toronto Marlies 4-1 in front of a sold out crowd of 8,819 at Copps Coliseum on Friday, October 19th, 2012. Louis Leblanc recorded two goals and Robert Mayer stopped 39 of 40 shots for his second win of the season. Rookie Patrick Holland scored his first professional goal and registered his first assist as a pro while fellow rookie Jarred Tinordi his first-career assist. Jake Gardiner scored the only goal for the Toronto Marlies.

The Hamilton Bulldogs were shutout by the Toronto Marlies in a 5-0 loss at Ricoh Coliseum on Saturday, October 20th, 2012. Mike Blunden led the 'Dogs in shots with nine while Peter Delmas made 16 saves. Toronto`s Keith Aucoin picked up three assists and Jussi Rynnas stopped 31 shots for his first shutout of the year.

RW Mike Blunden recorded his first point of the season with an assist against the Toronto Marlies on Friday Night.
