Albany Devils News Release
FIVE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS WEEK
The Albany Devils claimed their first win in a 4-0 effort Saturday against the Worcester Sharks at DCU Center. The Devils return to Times Union Center for back-to-back divisional games against the Connecticut Whale Wednesday and the Adirondack Phantoms Friday. The team then travels to take on the Hershey Bears Saturday at Giant Center.
Wednesday's game is against the New York Rangers AHL affiliate, the Connecticut Whale. It will be the first of six outings between the two teams this season. Last year, the Devils went 1-2-0-1 against the Whale, who finished second in the Northeast Division and earned a spot in the Calder Cup Playoffs.
For the third-consecutive year, the Devils will be battling the Adirondack Phantoms for the Time Warner Cable Cup, which goes to the winner of the regular-season series. Friday's contest is the first of 12 outings between the Northway rivals. Last year, the Devils went 3-5-3-0 against the Phantoms.
The Devils are offering the "Deuces Wild" package for Friday's matchup. The package includes two tickets, two Devils hats, two popcorns, two sodas and two ticket vouchers for the Nov. 12 or Nov. 24 game. Fans can purchase the bundle for just $35 online or by calling (518) 4-DEVILS. Also that night, ticket holders are encouraged to make any cash donation to go towards the purchase of winter apparel for needy children in Albany. The program is part of Mayor Jerry Jennings and the city of Albany's "Cash for Coats Drive."
The Devils are going National. Wednesday's game can be heard on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio on SiriusXM channel 207. Fans can also listen to the game for free on ahllive.com
