Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release

Hamilton, Ontario - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that former all-star quarterback Tracy Ham has joined the club as a Pro and College Scout. Ham will be responsible for scouting all professional and college football teams in the southeast United States.

"We are honoured to be able to bring Tracy on board as a member of our scouting department," said general manager Marcel Desjardins. "Tracy is perfectly suited for this position, having played quarterback in the CFL for 13 years and having been a head coach in U.S. college football. Tracy also has first-hand knowledge of Charlie Taaffe, having worked with Charlie from 1997 to 1999 with the Alouettes. We feel Tracy will provide tremendous insight to the Tiger-Cats."

As a player, Ham's illustrious 13-year career saw him play for the Edmonton Eskimos, (1987-1992), Toronto Argonauts (1993), Baltimore Football Club (1994-95) and Montreal Alouettes (1996-1999). In 179 career games, Ham completed 2,670 of 4,945 attempts for 40,534 yards, the seventh most in CFL history, and 284 touchdowns, the fourth most in CFL history.

The Georgia Southern product captured the CFL's Most Outstanding Player award in 1989 and was named the Most Valuable Player in Baltimore's 1995 Grey Cup victory.

Ham became head football coach of Clark-Atlanta University on January 25, 2002, a position he held for two seasons.
