CORPUS CHRISTI -- Milo Hamilton, who's served as play-by-play voice of the Houston Astros since 1985, joins Craig Biggio and Nolan Ryan at Thursday's Miracle Dinner Under the Lights at Whataburger Field.
The Miracle League of Corpus Christi fundraiser, which includes the Greatest Sports Auction South Texas has Ever Seen, gets underway at 5:30. For tickets, contact the Hooks at 361-561-HOOK (4665).
Hamilton is in his 64th season as a play-by-play announcer, 56th at the major-league level. Previous stops included the Cardinals, Cubs, White Sox, Braves and Pirates. Hamilton received the Ford Frick Award in 1992 from the Baseball Hall of Fame, presented annually to a member of the broadcasting fraternity for major contributions to the game.
