Halftime Acts To Perform At Vipers Next Three Home Games

HIDALGO, TEXAS - The NBA D-League Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today promotional plans for the team's next three home games, a lineup highlights by a halftime performance by Team Acrodunk during December 26th's game against the Los Angeles D-Fenders.

Team Acrodunk, which has performed in numerous NBA arenas, is "an exciting entertainment team that combines edgy street ball flavor with Cirque du [Soleil-style] showmanship" as they entertain the hometown crowd with high-flying dunks and eye-popping tricks.

Additionally, the first 1,000 women through the doors for that game will receive a red Vipers canvas tote bag courtesy of RGV Kinds Directory while all fans will have a chance to win tickets to the January 17th game at Houston's Toyota Center when the Rockets host the Miami Heat game.

After a road game in Dakota, the Vipers return to Dodge Arena on January 2nd, to host the Albuquerque Thunderbirds. That night the first 1,000 fans will receive a rally towel courtesy of Tierra Santa Golf Course before Red Panda, an acrobat juggling while on a unicyclist who has been the featured show in NBA arenas around the country entertains the crowd at halftime.

On Satruday, January 3rd, the Vipers play the second-half of a back-to-back with the Thunderbirds in an NBA affiliate night game in which the Vipers will sport New Orleans Hornets uniforms and the crowd will be entertained by the Hornets' mascot, Hugo the Hornet, and the team's dance squad, the Honeybees. The first 1,000 fans will receive t-shirts courtesy of San Juan Pharmacy.

All three games will start at 7:00 p.m. with the doors to Dodge Arena opening at 6:00 p.m. Fans will have a chance to win basketballs autographed by NBA Hall of Famers George Gervin and Rick Barry and kids will receive thundersticks courtesy of Lone Star National Bank.
