Haley Returned to Sound Tigers

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Dec. 12, 2011) - The New York Islanders announced today forward Micheal Haley has been returned on loan to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.

Haley, 25, recorded seven penalty minutes in four games during his first NHL stint of the 2011-12 season with the Islanders. The 5-10, 204-pound forward returns to the Sound Tigers where he has notched three points (one goal, two assists) and 32 penalty minutes in 16 games this season.

The Sound Tigers also released goaltender Joe Fallon from his professional tryout contract on Monday morning after the Islanders returned goaltender Kevin Poulin to Bridgeport on Sunday evening. Fallon appeared in relief of Anders Nilsson in the third period of the Sound Tigers 5-1 loss to Springfield on Sunday afternoon, stopping six of seven shots.
