Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC News Release
WINDSOR, Colo. - With just two matches left in the regular season, Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC will look to stay in the hunt for the Players' Shield with a win against Forward Madison FC on Saturday.
Hailstorm enter Saturday in third place in the USL League One table, a point behind North Carolina FC and three behind Union Omaha. Meanwhile, Madison sit in sixth in the table, just two points ahead of South Georgia Tormenta FC for the final playoff spot.
"We just need to make sure we're taking care of business and giving ourselves a chance of finishing in the top two," Hailstorm FC head coach Éamon Zayed said.
This will be Hailstorm's third meeting with Madison this year, but the first at Future Legends Field. Northern Colorado won the first meeting in May 2-0 and the teams played to a scoreless draw last month.
"It's hard to keep them quiet," Hailstorm defender Rob Cornwall said. "Last time out there did well to get a 0-0 draw."
Hailstorm and Madison are scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. Mountain time Saturday at Future Legends Field.
