
Gus Tyson Signs with Cleveland

The AFL League office has announced today that FB/LB Gustavus Tyson (6'3 255 lbs, Virginia Union) has signed a contract with the Cleveland Gladiators. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Tyson was a member of the Green Bay Blizzard that made it to two American Conference Championship games as well as ArenaCup7 in 2006. In 2007 Tyson recorded 29.0 tackles (17 solo, 24 assists), 3.0 sacks, 1.0 interception and 2.0 fumbles recovered. Tyson will be playing with another former Blizzard standout, Ryan Bowers who after a successful season in 2007 with the Predators signed a free-agent contract with the Gladiators.
Tyson is the eighth player from the 2007 Blizzard team to sign a contract with the AFL, NFL, or CFL.
