Gulls announce training camp schedule

SAN DIEGO â The San Diego Gulls will begin training camp Friday, Oct. 8 at the San Diego Ice Arena in Mira Mesa. Sessions will take place Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Weekend practice times are still to be determined. All practices are open to the media and public.

The ECHL season will not be affected by the NHL lockout. The preseason will begin as expected when the Gulls take on the Long Beach Ice Dogs in two games. The second match-up will be a home game, though it will take place at the San Diego Ice Arena Sunday, Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. For a complete schedule log on to www.sandiegogulls.com
The regular season is slated to begin Friday, Oct. 22 in Long Beach with the home opener scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 23 against Fresno. Game time is 7:05 p.m. and fans will receive rally towels and magnetic schedules to kick off the new season.
