JACKSON, TENN. - The Seattle Mariners have announced the following roster moves that affect the Generals roster. RHP Stephen Shackleford has been placed on the disabled list and RHP Mayckol Guaipe has been reinstated from the disabled list. The moves are made prior to tonight's 6:05 p.m. game four of the series against Birmingham in Jackson.

RHP Mayckol Guaipe

Shackleford, 25, has been placed on the 7-day DL, retroactive to his last appearance which was on July 3rd against Mobile. In 29 relief outings and 44.1 IP in 2014, Shackleford is 5-2 with a 3.65 ERA, posting 46 strikeouts and 23 walks. Shackleford was signed as a free agent by the Mariners in 2012 and currently resides in Louisville, Kentucky.

Guaipe, 23, was placed on the disabled list on June 28th. In 24 games this season, Guaipe is 1-2, with a 2.65 ERA in 37.1 IP. He has a team-leading 5 saves and has 32 strikeouts and only 7 walks. Guaipe was signed as a non-drafted free agent by Seattle in 2006 out of Venezuela.
