Chattanooga Walks off on Stars

Chattanooga, TN-Pinch hitter Chris O'Brien delivered a walk-off two-run double in the bottom of the ninth inning giving the Chattanooga Lookouts a 5-4 win over the Huntsville Stars Sunday afternoon at AT&T Field.

With the Stars leading 4-2 in the bottom of the ninth, Bobby Coyle and O'Koyea Dickson produced back to back singles off Stars RHP Kevin Shackelford. Angel Sanchez then executed a sacrifice bunt advancing the runners to second and third base with one out.

Tim Dillard then entered out of the Stars bullpen to face pinch hitter Daniel Mayora. Mayora, dumped an rbi single to left field scoring Coyle making it 4-3.

O'Brien came off the Lookouts bench and came through with the clutch game winning hit against Dillard. O'Brien stroked the two-run double over RF Josh Prince's head.

Dillard, who gave up the game winning hit suffered his first loss of the year, dropping to 4-1.

Chattanooga got a pair of solo homeruns earlier in the game from Dickson and Coyle against Stars RHP Eric Marzec to take a 2-1 lead.

The Stars, who led briefly 1-0 after the top of the fourth, regained the lead in the seventh inning against RHP Tyson Brummett.

The Stars strung together five consecutive hits against Brumett. With the Stars trailing 2-1 and with runners at first and third base, Prince bunted for an infield hit scoring Shea Vucinich tying the game at 2-2.

Nick Shaw roped an rbi single to right-center field scoring Nick Ramirez to give the Stars a 3-2 lead. Hainley Statia came through right after the Shaw hit, and singled into right field scoring Prince. The Stars led 4-2 after Statia's rbi hit.

Vucinich led the Stars by going 3-4.

The Stars(11-13, 57-37)and the Lookouts(10-14,36-58) are now even at 2-2 in their five game series. Game five, the rubber match will be Monday night. The Stars will have LHP Brent Suter(8-6, 3.79) on the hill. Chattanooga will feature RHP Raydel Sanchez(2-5, 5.56) on the mound.
