Fairbanks Grizzlies News Release

The Fairbanks Grizzlies are pleased to announce the signing of Offensive Lineman LT Brown from the University of Mary. The 6'3" 310 Brown has been regarded as one of the best offensive lineman in Marauder history and joins former Marauder teammate Shawn Melland on the Fairbanks Grizzlies roster. Brown, who was a three-year starter and a two-time team captain for the Marauders, was a three-time All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference offensive lineman. After his senior year Brown was selected to the Daktronics All-Region Team and was selected to play in the Valerio Cactus Bowl, which consists of the 80 best Divison II players in the nation.

Fairbanks Grizzlies Head Coach Robert Fuller was Brown's position coach at the University of Mary and believes Brown will be a force up front for the Grizzlies. "LT is a tenacious competitor and takes pride in finishing blocks. He leads by example and is all business when he straps on a helmet. I've had the pleasure of working with some great offensive lineman through the years and LT might be one of the best we've had. He is a great addition to our team." States head coach Robert Fuller.

The Fairbanks Grizzlies are set to begin their 4th season of play in February 2011. Season tickets are available for purchase, call 452-5123 for details.
