Grizzlies Release 2010-2011 Schedule

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies today released their schedule for the 2010-2011 season. The Grizzlies will open the season Friday and Saturday, October 15 and 16 in Alaska with the team's home opening weekend being Friday and Saturday, October 22 and 23 when they will host Bakersfield. The complete schedule and schedule breakdown is at the bottom of this release.

The Grizzlies are proud to be affiliated with the NHL's New York Islanders and Calgary Flames.

The Grizzlies will open the year with 10 of their first 12 games on the road, including an eight-game road trip to Idaho, Las Vegas and Bakersfield October 27-November 13. The Grizzlies will play 21 of their final 36 games at home; which includes a season-long six game home stand March 4-13. 22 of the team's 36 home games will be played on Friday and Saturday. The schedule has just one Sunday home game which we be played against the Stockton Thunder on March 13.

Monday, December 27, the Grizzlies will face-off at 11:59 p.m. pacific time in Las Vegas as the Wranglers host their annual midnight game. The game will start just prior to 1 a.m. mountain time on December 28.

Utah will face their closest regional rival the Idaho Steelheads the most during the season with 12 meetings scheduled. Each National Conference opponent will come to the E-Center at least twice.

From December on, Utah will have equal to or more home games to road games in the final five months to finish the year.

The team's promotional schedule and nightly themes will be announced at a later date.
