Grizzlies Extend Eight Qualifying Offers

West Valley City, Utah - Utah Grizzlies Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Jason Christie today announced that he has issued qualifying offers to eight players from the 2007-2008 season. Players who signed contracts prior to this past season with either the New York Islanders or their AHL affiliate in Bridgeport are not eligible to receive qualifying offers from Utah.

Goaltender Nathan Lawson (17-9-1 during regular season; recorded two shutouts during the playoffs going 5-4)

Forwards Ryan Cruthers (Signed out of Robert Morris University March 26; tallied one goal and four assists playing in all 15 playoff games)

Ryan Kinasewich (Third leading scorer in Grizzlies history with 91 goals and 113 assists for 204 points in 147 games)

Evan Kotsopoulos (Acquired from Bakersfield March 4; played in eight games tallying three points before suffering an injury March 24 in Victoria)

Travis Rycroft (Leads team with 191 games played since Utah joined ECHL. Has been the team's captain the last two years)

Defensemen James Sanford (Led Utah with 14 power-play assists in 07-08 and finished tied atop the team lead with 20 power-play points)

Sean Offers (Played in 60 regular season games tallying 2 goals and 19 assists in 07-08)

Andy Sertich (ECHL All-Star in 2006-2007; was promoted to Bridgeport (AHL) on December 31, 2007 and stayed there the remainder of the season)
