
Greyhounds take two in sixth round

Following a 1/2 hour league-wide break, the Soo Greyhounds kicked off the second half of today's OHL Priority Selection with a pair of picks in the 6th round.
With the 101st pick the locals went south of the border to nab Michael Montrose from the Detroit Little Caesars U16's. The Howell, Michigan native, left defenceman stands 5'11" while weighing 150lbs.
Then 12 picks later, (113th overall) the locals made their way west in picking Kyle Lapenskie from Terrace Bay, Ontario. Lapenskie, a 6'4", 245lb left-winger, played this past season with Thunder Bay Kings Minor Midgets. In 64 games played he had 50 goals, 25 assists good for 75 points along with 107 penalty minutes.
