Kitchener, ON: The Kitchener Rangers completed their 2007 OHL Entry Draft today after selecting thirteen players throughout the fifteen round process.
With their first pick in the draft (18th overall) the Rangers selected highly skilled defenseman Cam Fowler from the Detroit Honeybaked program. Last season the 6' 1" Michigan native scored eight goals and registered 38 points in 47 games.
Entering the draft OHL Central Scouting described Fowler as "One of the best defensemen available...possessing all the tools required to develop into a dominant player."
Throughout the day the Rangers selected a total of 8 forwards and 5 defensemen. The team did not select a goalie in the draft.
