Wheeling, WV- The 2002 & 2003 National Champion Ohio Valley Greyhounds return the nucleus of the 2003 defensive line.
The Greyhounds are pleased to announce the signing of Tim Buffone and Mark Holtzman.
Tim Buffone is a six foot one, two hundred and ninety pound nose tackle from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
In 2003, Buffone recorded 48 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks and 2 fumbles caused one recovered for a touchdown.
While at IUP, Tim received numerous awards including first team PSAC in 1999, 2000 and 2001. As a four year starter, Buffone recorded 199 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
Mark Holtzman is a six foot four and two hundred and seventy five pound nose tackle from Syracuse University.
Holtzman through eight games recorded 24 tackles, 8 tackles for lose and 5.5 sacks with the Hounds.
Mark spent time in 2002 & 2003 with the Hamilton Tiger Cats -CFL and the Buffalo Destroyers- AFL.
