Grey Cup MVP Tucker back with Eskimos

(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimos announced the club has agreed to terms with Grey Cup MVP receiver Jason Tucker. In keeping with club policy, the terms of the contract have not been released.

With 7 catches for 132 yards and 2 touchdowns, Tucker helped lead Edmonton to a 34-22 win over Montreal and the Esks 12th Grey Cup win in franchise history. In 15 regular season games in 2003, Tucker posted 41 catches for 744 yards and a team leading 9 receiving TDs. "J-Tuck" was named CFL Offensive Player of the Week for Week 2 (June 26th) after a career best 8 catches - 171 yards and 2 TDs vs. Calgary.

Eskimo Head Coach Tom Higgins says "Jason's strength is his consistency. He's very unselfish and fits very well in our system."

As a CFL rookie in 2002, Tucker made a huge impact with 51 receptions for 911 yards and 8 TDs and was named both a CFL All-Star and a CFL West All-Star. Since he donned the Green and Gold Tucker has earned a well deserved reputation of coming up big in the most important games. In the 2002 Grey Cup, Tucker was the top Eskimo receiver with 8 catches for 127 yards and 4 punt returns for 57 yards.
