(Vancouver). The BC Lions Football Club announced today that quarterback Dave Dickenson has signed a contract extension. In keeping with club policy, details on the deal were not released.

"Dave is an outstanding leader on our football club and I am very pleased to have this agreement in place," said Lions GM and head coach Wally Buono. "The quality of quarterbacks on our roster gives our fans a lot to be excited about and provides our team with stability for seasons to come."

Dickenson currently ranks 4th in Lions history with his 12,833 passing yards and 87 TD's. His efficiency rating as a Lion of 114.0 leads the club. In his four seasons with the Lions, the team has finished in first place in the West Division three times, played in two Grey Cups and earned one championship.
