Greenville's Missiaen Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Jason Missiaen of the Greenville Road Warriors is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Dec. 5-11.

The 21-year-old was 2-0-0 with one shutout, a goals-against average of 0.50 and a save percentage of .986 as the Road Warriors won two games against South Division opponents.

Missiaen stopped 31 shots in a 3-1 win over Gwinnett on Thursday and followed that up by recording his first professional shutout on Friday, making 38 saves in a 3-0 victory against South Carolina.

A fourth-round selection (116th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Missiaen is 3-2-0 on the season with a 2.59 goals-against average and a save percentage of .923.

A native of Chatham, Ontario, Missiaen is in his first ECHL season. Last season he appeared in 53 games for Baie-Comeau Drakkar in the QMJHL, posting a 10-33-8 record with a goals-against average of 3.33 and a save percentage of .893. Prior to that, he played four seasons in the OHL with the Peterborough Petes, compiling a record of 48-65-6 in 131 games.
