Greenville to Face Three Championship Clubs in Preseason

Greenville Triumph SC News Release
Greenville, SC - The Greenville Triumph will begin preparations for the 2020 season against the top competition in the Carolinas, announcing matches against the three regional squads from the USL Championship set to take place across the month of February.
The preseason schedule will see the Triumph begin with a home-and-home set against the Charleston Battery. The two sides met in the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, with Charleston notching a comeback 2-1 in the first iteration of what many fans dubbed "The Palmetto Derby". Greenville will host Charleston at Legacy Early College on Saturday, February 15, in a match that will be open to fans. Specifics of the match will be released soon.
The Triumph will then travel southeast to face the Battery in Charleston on February 19th before returning to the Upstate to host the Charlotte Independence for a scrimmage on February 22nd. Greenville will finish out February by traveling to Raleigh on February 29th to face NCFC in a match open to the public.
The club plans to play additional scrimmages against regional collegiate opponents ahead of the season opener on March 27th. Those matches will be announced at a later date.

Greenville kicks off the 2020 season March 27th against the Chattanooga Red Wolves at Legacy Early College in West Greenville. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased.
