
Greenville Loses Final Game of the Series to Hickory

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Drive lost to the Hickory Crawdads 8-5 in the last game of the series and lost the series 1-5. The Drive overall record is now 15-24.
Hickory started the first inning strong when they gained two runs thanks to hits from Cody Freeman and Thomas Saggese.
Greenville gained one run in the second inning when a hit from Alex Erro allowed Tyler Esplin to score.
A scoreless third inning left the Crawdads in the lead 2-1.
Home runs by Trevor Hauver and Scott Kapers plus a hit from Frainyer Chavez extended Hickory's lead 6-1 at the top of the fourth.
A single from Nick Yorke at the bottom of the fifth allowed Jaxx Groshans to score a run for the Drive. Offensive standout, Ceddanne Rafaela RBI double sent Yorke home. Alex Binelas finished off the fifth inning with a 460-foot home run that cleared the scoreboard and brought Rafaela home with him to make it a one run game.
Saggese furthered Hickory's lead with a hit to left field that batted in Evan Carter and Cody Freeman making the score 8-5.
The Greenville Drive will be on the road this week taking on the Jersey Shore BlueClaws.
