Green's homer lifts Cats in 11

Terence Green hit a walkoff two-run homer in the 11th inning Sunday afternoon as the Cats won their fourth straight 8-7.

Trailing 7-6 going into the 11th, Tony Mota reached on a one-out single before Green homered just over the wall in right to give the Cats the victory and a sweep of the Edinburg Roadrunners.

It was the second comeback of the game for the Cats who trailed after 3 1/2 innings 5-1. Edinburg scored three times in the fourth inning to take that lead, but the Cats bounced back with single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth before scoring twice in the seventh to take a 6-5 lead.

Edinburg tied the game in the eighth and the score stayed 6-6 until the top of the 11th when the Roadrunners scored a run on an Eddie Lara fielder's choice.

Green was had two hits in the game and three RBIs. Cats' designated hitter John Allen had a 4-for-5 afternoon with an RBI.

After a shaky start for right-hander Angel Aragon, reliever Juan Figueroa settled the game down with three hitless innings out of the bullpen. Left-hander T.J. Hendricks earned his first victory of the season as he retired the final three batters in the 11th.

Despite throwing 3 1/3 innings of solid relief, Steve Wilkerson (0-1) suffered the loss for Edinburg after allowing the Green game-winner.
