GreenJackets Suffer Loss in Game Two

North Augusta, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of San Francisco Giants, lost 5-0 to the Rome Braves on Friday night.

The Braves pitching was the story of the game as they held the GreenJackets to just two hits. Huascar Ynoa for the Braves set the tone by going six innings, only giving up one hit.

On the mound for the GreenJackets, Garrett Cave got the start and struck out six hitters over 4 1/3 innings. Ryan Koziol came in with the bases loaded in the fifth inning and got an inning ending double play. Koziol would go 2 2/3 innings, giving up only one hit. To end the night, John Timmins came on for two innings and held the Braves to just two hits.

The series will be decided tomorrow in game three between the GreenJackets and the Braves. First pitch is at 6:05 pm. Tomorrow at SRP Park, we will be having Star Wars night!
