
GreenJackets End Season on High Note

Augusta GreenJackets News Release
North Augusta, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, won 3-2 against the Columbia Fireflies in the last game of the season on Monday afternoon.
The GreenJackets used a two-run home run by Orlando Garcia in the bottom of the fourth inning to tie the game at two. Then with the game still tied, Shane Matheny hit a solo home run into right field to give the GreenJackets the 3-2 lead. That score would remain until the end of the game, as Augusta ended the season with a 3-2 victory.
On the mound for the GreenJackets, Norwith Gudino went six innings only giving up four hits. Gudino won his sixth game of the season. Over the final three innings, Keenan Bartlett, JJ Santa Cruz, and Camilo Doval kept the Fireflies in check to secure the victory.
The GreenJackets ended their season with a 67-70 record and finished 34-34 at SRP Park.
