
GreenJackets Are the Top Dogs in Charleston

Charleston, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of San Francisco Giants, won 4-3 against the Charleston RiverDogs on Wednesday night.
Aaron Phillips set the tone on the mound for the GreenJackets early. He dominated the Charleston lineup by getting up on hitter early in the count. Phillips would go five innings, giving up three hits and two runs. He would also go onto strikeout nine RiverDogs. Phillips earned his third win of the season.
Also on the mound for the GreenJackets, Caleb Baragar went three innings, only giving up four hits and one run. He would earn his first hold this season. Then in the ninth inning, Augusta turned to Camilo Doval, who earned his second save of the season.
At the plate, a three run inning in the fourth, put the GreenJackets up 3-1. Then in the eighth inning, Trevor Abrams knocked in Ryan Kirby from second base to give the GreenJackets a 4-2 lead. This run would be a crucial, as Augusta would go onto win 4-3.
The GreenJackets take game one of the series and will play tomorrow in Charleston at 7:05 pm.
After the six game road trip, the GreenJackets will be at home for a seven game homestand. On July11th against the Lexington Legends, we will have 9 Innings of Networking! Then on the 12th, The CSRA's Biggest Sock Hop!
