
Green Bay Set to Host Rematch against Mallards

Green Bay, Wis- The Bullfrogs return home to face off against the Madison mallards. Last night the Frogs lost game one of the series 20-1 in a night that saw Madison tie their franchise record for most runs in a game.
The Mallards would put up seven runs in the second inning including a grand slam from Madison's Doran Turchin (Illinois). The Mallards would go one to put up two runs in the third, the four in the fourth, and seven in the seventh. Ben Hart (Oakland University) was the Aurora Bay Care Sports Medicine player of the night as he was the lone spotlight with a homerun in the eighth inning preventing the Bullfrogs shutout.
Tonight Green Bay is back home to host Big Top Baseball rival the Madison Mallards in game two of the series. The Mallards come into the game with a 2-3 record this year after dropping two games to the Lakeshore Chinnooks and a game with the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders.
Last Season the Mallards placed third in the South Division of the Northwoods League and bested Green Bay in the eight-game series, six games to two. The entire 2016 season the Bullfrogs fought hard against the Mallards resulting in many close games.
On the mound for the Bullfrogs tonight will be left handed pitcher Connor Wollersheim of Kent State. Wollersheim this past season for the golden flashes posted a 3.91 ERA, 2-1 record and 46 strikeouts
