Bullfrogs Defeat Mallards in Rematch

The Green Bay Bullfrogs win their second game of the season in Joannes stadium, improving to 2-4 on the year, after defeating the Madison mallards 4-1 on Sunday afternoon. Connor Wollersheim gets the Win for the Bullfrogs, pitching six innings allowing just one run, three hits and tossing six strikeouts in the contest Nick Ohanian would come in during the ninth to get the save. He stuck out all three batters he faced. Savino gets the loss for the Mallards as he pitched one inning allowing 2 earned runs.

The Bullfrogs went down early in the third when Cade Bunnel hit a RBI double to score Nick Schrader for the mallards. The Bullfrogs would answer with a run of their own in the third. The Bullfrogs would load the bases in the bottom of the 6th when Troy Johnston came up to the plate for the frogs, he would belt a double into centerfield scoring all three base runners for Green Bay. Darren Kelly would come in to pitch two innings of relief, posting three strikeouts and the Bullfrogs would hold on to win 4-1 getting their 2nd win of the season, the Mallards drop to 2-4 on the year.

It was Troy Johnston's first day in Green bay and first appearance this season. Johnston was awarded the Aurora BayCare Sports Medicine Player of the Game for Green Bay after his one hit, one walk, one double, and three RBI day.

The Bullfrogs will be going on another road trip this week. The Frogs will travel to Battle Creek, Michigan to face off against the Bombers for a two game series before traveling to Kalamazoo, to face the Growlers for two games on Wednesday and Thursday before returning home.

The next home game will be on Friday June 9th versus the Lakeshore Chinooks. Group and single game tickets are on sale now.
