Green Bay Blizzard Finalize 2014 Roster

Green Bay, WI - The Green Bay Blizzard have announced the team's final roster for the 2014 season.

Green Bay returns five players who played for the team in 2013. LB Derek Earls, OL Tyler Hendrickson, OL William Maxwell, DL Paul Melicharek and DB George Ortiz all made the Blizzard roster for their second season with the team.

In addition, the team has named QB Taylor Perkins the starting quarterback for the season opener against the Bemidji Axemen. Perkins (6'1, 215, Univ. of Sioux Falls) recorded 71 touchdowns (53 pass, 18 rush) as a four-year team captain for the Cougars.

The Blizzard open up their 2014 season on the road as the team travels to face the Bemidji Axemen on Saturday, February 22. Kickoff is at 7:05 PM on Palace Casino Field at the Sanford Center. The official Blizzard watch party will be at Burkels One Block Over, which is behind Brett Farve's Steakhouse. Enjoy great food and drink specials while meeting fans and Blizzard staff.

The Blizzard's home opener kicks off on Sunday, March 16 on Aurora BayCare Field as the team faces off against the Cedar Rapids Titans.That game will be a St. Patrick's Day Celebration as the first 2000 adults 21 and over will receive a free Irish top hat sponsored by Budweiser and Y100.
