
Grapes Top Pacifics in Sonoma County's Season Finale

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (Aug. 12, 2012) - The Sonoma County Grapes and the San Rafael Pacifics passed the lead back and forth five times on Sunday at Albert Park, but the Grapes pulled out a 5-4 win in their season finale over San Rafael.
Sam Perry reached base three times for the Sonoma County (19-29), scored two runs and had an RBI, leading the Grapes to their fourth win in six games of the series. Chris Debiasi went 2 for 3 and scored twice.
Nick Alexander recorded his third win of the year for the Grapes, striking out one, in a hitless eighth inning. Grapes starter Ross Pomerantz - a Marin Academy High grad - pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowed four runs (all earned), walked four and struck out a pair.
Steve Detwiler allowed four runs in four innings - his first start of his career - and Andrew Pevsner pitched three shutout innings of relief for San Rafael (31-23).
Julian Arballo (5-3) took the loss for the San Rafael. Zack Pace reached base three times and drove in two.
