Grand Slam Sinks Ports

The Ports losing streak was extended to five Sunday evening as the Bakersfield came from behind to defeat Stockton 7-6. Brodie Greene hit a grand slam in the ninth inning to secure the win for the Blaze.

The Ports Held the lead for most of the game, getting three runs on the board in the first. Myrio Richard went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in the game. Anthony Aliotti and Mitch LeVier hit home runs for the Ports. LeVier entered the game in the fifth inning as Michael Choice left the game after coming up limping attempting to beat out a throw at first.

Jose Guzman came in to close the game for the Ports in the ninth, giving up the grand slam. This was Guzman's third blown save and second loss of the season.

The Ports close out the series tomorrow with righty Dan Straily facing off against Mike Serrano at 7:05 p.m. The Ports will be looking to snap a five game losing streak.
