NJ/NY Gotham FC News Release
HARRISON, NJ - NJ/NY Gotham FC will put its unbeaten start in UKG NWSL Challenge Cup play on the line, when the club meets the Orlando Pride at Exploria Stadium in Orlando on Sunday, July 23 (7 p.m. ET, Paramount+).
Gotham FC is one of only four unbeaten teams left in the tournament along with divisional rival North Carolina (1-0-2), Western leader OL Reign (3-0-1) and Central frontrunner Racing Louisville FC (3-0-0).
Sunday marks the first UKG NWSL Challenge Cup meeting between Gotham FC and Orlando due to the postponement of their previous two matches.
In Gotham FC's last Challenge Cup match on May 3 at the North Carolina Courage, forward Lynn Williams scored in the 74th minute off a Jenna Nighswonger's assist to equalize the Courage's early goal in the 3rd minute of play.
