Tucson Sidewinders News Release
Mike Gosling pitched his strongest game of the season to lead the Sidewinders to a 6-4 win over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Gosling threw 6 innings allowing 1 run on 5 hits and 2 walks with 4 strike outs to become 2-4 on the season.
The Sidewinders got on the board in the 2nd inning on a two run Robby Hammock home run to right field. Hammock led the Tucson offense falling just a double short of the cycle. After scoring a run in the 4th, Tucson tacked on 3 important insurance runs in the 7th to put the game out of reach.
The Sidewinders look to inch closer to the .500 mark Friday night with Byung-Hyun Kim (1-0, 0.00) taking the mound against Sky Sox starter Randy Flores (3-3, 4.50).
