
Gorillas pick up goalie Vandespyker

[Amarillo, TX]- The Amarillo Gorillas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that the club has acquired the rights to Wichita goaltender Jamie Vandespyker for a player to be named later.
Vandespyker, 6'1'', 185, returns to the Gorillas where he played 21 games in 2003-04. In those games he was 9-5-1 with a 2.70 goals against average and a .922 save percentage. Last season in Wichita, Vandespyker played 35 games compiling a 21-9-2 record with a 2.52 goals against average and a .908 save percentage.
The Gorillas open the season at the Amarillo Civic Center on Saturday, October 22nd at 7 p.m. against the Laredo Bucks. Season tickets and corporate partnerships for the 2005-06 season are now available. Contact the Amarillo Gorillas office at (806) 242-PUCK (7825) for more information.
