Gorillas announce training camp schedule

AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Gorillas of the Central Hockey League (CHL) are pleased to announce that training camp for upcoming 2006-2007 season will begin Monday October 9th. The Gorillas will conduct on-ice practices twice a day for eight days leading up to opening night. Starting Monday, the Gorillas will practice at the Amarillo Civic Center from 10 A.M. to noon and then again from 4-5 P.M. The Gorillas will maintain that schedule for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week. They will then have a one-hour skate the morning of Friday October 13th in preparation for their first preseason game that evening at 7:05 P.M. against the Lubbock Cotton Kings. The Gorillas also have preseason games scheduled for Saturday October 14th at 7 P.M. against the New Mexico Scorpions here at the Civic Center and then Sunday October 15th in Lubbock at 5 P.M.
The Gorillas will then resume their two-a-day on-ice workouts Monday October 16th. Their on-ice sessions will go from 10 A.M. to noon and then from 4-5 P.M. beginning Monday and ending Thursday October 19th. The team will then have one final skate Friday morning from 10-11 A.M. in preparation for their regular season opener on Saturday October 21st against the New Mexico Scorpions.
Season ticket packages and corporate partnerships for the 2006-2007 season are available now! Individual game tickets, once they go on sale, can be purchased at the Gorillas Hockey Office, located at 1934 Civic Circle off of I-40 and Georgia, the Civic Center Box Office and all Panhandle Ticket Outlets. These include Randy's Music Mart, the West Texas Event Center in Canyon and United Supermarkets. Tickets can also be charged by phone at (806) 378-3096 or (806) 242-PUCK (7825).
