
Blazers Training Camp Opens Monday

Oklahoma City, Okla. - The Oklahoma City Blazers will open training camp for their historic 15th season Monday, October 9 at 9:30 a.m. at the Blazers Ice Centre, head coach Doug Sauter announced today.
The team will skate in two-a-day workouts at the Ice Centre from 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. for the first three days of camp. All sessions are open to the public and are free of charge. A total of 28 players are expected in training camp, including returning forwards Garrett Prosofsky, Marty Standish and Jared Dumba, returning defensemen Tyler Fleck and goaltender Sean Connors.
This season, the Blazers will skate in three preseason games. October 12, the Blazers will travel to Tulsa to battle their turnpike rivals at 7 p.m. at the Oilers Ice Center. The Blazers take on the CHL's newest team, the Rocky Mountain Rage October 13 at the Blazers Ice Centre at 7:35 p.m. The preseason schedule wraps up for the Blazers October 15 against the Tulsa Oilers are 2 p.m. at the Ford Center. Immediately following the game Sunday, fans are invited to skate with the Blazers. Skate rentals will be available. Tickets are available for games in Oklahoma City at the door for $8.
NOTE: The Blazers added six players to their training camp roster. Forwards Tyler Stewart, Jon Schultz, Steve Beck and Scott Odelein join defensemen Bryan Jewell and Edwin Trebian on the Blazers training camp roster. Jewell and Trebian each saw action last season with the University of Oklahoma club hockey team. Stewart and Odelein recently completed their junior eligibility with their respective junior teams, while Schultz skated with St. Norbert College.
