Macon Mayhem News Release
The Macon Mayhem got into the swing of things for a good cause on a glorious Wednesday afternoon in Middle Georgia.
Teaming up with Houston County CASA, Mayhem players and coach Kevin Kerr hit the links at the Southern Landings Golf Course in Warner Robins. They were taking part in the inaugural Putts and Pucks for Kids Golf Classic. CASA is an agency featuring volunteers who represent the interests of children in the state's foster care system.
Among those who spent the day golfing with the Mayhem were Mayor Randy Toms of Warner Robins and Mayor Jimmy Faircloth of Perry. Both expressed their appreciation to the Mayhem players for spending a day off helping an important community agency.
Yes, their were prizes to the golf teams with the lowest scores, but the real winners were the children that CASA serves.
