Goldeyes Sign Norrito

The menu known as the 2010 Goldeyes just added some Italian flavour.
Winnipeg manager Rick Forney announced today the signing of right-handed hurler Joey Norrito. His arrival brings to 18 the number of players on the roster, eight of whom are pitchers.
Norrito, 27, returns to North America after playing last year in Italy. He went 4-1 in 17 games (two starts) with one save and a 4.03 ERA, helping Bologna to regular season and league titles. Before heading overseas, he spent five seasons in organized ball, the first four with the Dodgers followed by a year with the Nationals.
For his career, Norrito is 23-12 with a 3.76 ERA. He can start or pitch out of the bullpen.
Training camp opens May 4 at Canwest Park.
