Glens Falls, NY ¨C As the Glens Falls Golden Eagles enter a two game home stand hosting the Watertown Wizards, Head Coach John Mayotte stands just two wins from reaching 200 total wins over his eight seasons with the team.
The seasoned skipper¡¯s career record with the Golden Eagles currently stands at 198©120 resulting in an excellent .623 winning percentage with the team. The Madeira, FL resident has been the only coach to ever direct the Glens Falls summer collegiate team becoming well©known and respected throughout the area. Coach Mayotte holds numerous coaching records and accolades and has coached many prominent major leaguers such as Jeff Bagwell and Albert Belle.
Today, Wednesday, the Golden Eagles are hosting Hudson River Community Credit Union Night which will feature free backpacks, tote©bags, and opportunities to win gift©cards. Free family tickets are available while supplies last at local HRCCU branches.
The second game of the home stand vs. Watertown on Thursday will be Baseball Card Giveaway Night with the first 250 fans receiving a free pack of baseball cards. This year¡¯s edition of cards has been professionally designed by Glens Falls Sports Information Director Matt Arietta and features a Coach Mayotte card too. A baseball card signing will take place at Omega Sports in the Aviation Mall this Saturday from 3pm until 6pm.
