Aberdeen Wings News Release

The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League, announced Wednesday that Goaltending Coach, Josh Aycock has decided he will not return for the 2023-2024 season. "I am incredibly proud to have coached the Wings goaltenders for the past 7 seasons. I am ever thankful for the goalies I've gotten to work alongside, and the camaraderie I've grown with them. Special thanks to Coach Langer and Greg Odde for taking a chance on me to join the staff when I was the unproven new guy, young enough to be a player on their team at the time. I appreciate their continued support, including my decision to step away now, after so many good years. It's been fun, Aberdeen. Thank you." Josh Aycock.

Josh joined the Wings for the 2016-2017 season. During his 6 seasons with the Wings, he helped coach them to the 2019 Robertson Cup National Championship, 2021 NAHL Presidents Cup and coached Jake Sibell, the 2021 USA Hockey Goaltender of the year.

"We thank Josh Aycock for his years with the Aberdeen wings, josh was apart of our goaltending success over the years and a big part of our national championship title." Wings Head Coach & GM Scott Langer

The Wings will have an announcement on Coach Aycock's replacement Thursday.
