Goaltender Peter Delmas Assigned to Orlando

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild and Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Iowa Wild and Toronto Marlies, announced today that goaltender Peter Delmas has been assigned to the team by the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Delmas (6-3, 198 lbs.) was drafted in the second round, #61 overall, by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He played 31 games for the Wheeling Nailers last season, compiling a .908 save percentage and 2.72 GAA to go along with a 15-12-4 record. He also played three games for the Hamilton Bulldogs with an .865 save percentage and 3.49 GAA. Delmas appeared in 37 games with Wheeling in 2011-12 where he finished with an 18-14-3 record, .909 save percentage, and 2.50 GAA. In four games with the Bulldogs that season, he went 1-2-0 with a .919 save percentage and 2.26 GAA. He broke into the professional ranks during the 2010-11 season, playing 24 games for the Nailers and earning a 15-6-2 record, .928 save percentage, and 2.03 GAA. That season, Delmas appeared in two games for Hamilton as well. Delmas is a three time recipient of the ECHL Goaltender of the Week award, and his career ECHL numbers include a 2.45 GAA, .914 save percentage, and 48-32-9 record.

Prior to breaking into the professional ranks, the Alliston, ON, native played four full seasons in the QMJHL (2006-10). Delmas split the 2009-10 season between the Halifax Mooseheads and Quebec Remparts after playing exclusively for the Lewiston MAINEiacs from 2006-09. He was named to the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) All-Rookie Team in 2006-07, and appeared in the CHL Top Prospects Game in 2007-08.
